Your week today vs. on one record.
Five things that come around every week or every month in the finance seat. Flip the switch.
- 01
Build the WIP schedule Planned
Export job cost, chase every PM for cost-to-complete, paste it into a spreadsheet whose formulas broke two months ago.
Planned: contract, cost, commitments, billings and PM forecasts already sit on the job, so the WIP is live and you review the fade.
2–4 daysReview hours - 02
Chase lien waivers Planned
A spreadsheet and a pile of emails before every payment run.
Planned: waiver status on each payment. Missing waivers (Apex Steel, CoreDry) hold the check until they arrive.
Hours a weekMinutes - 03
Reconcile AP to commitments Planned
Three-way match by hand. Over-billing against a PO slips through when the month gets busy.
Planned: invoices match to POs and subcontracts. INV-4471 ($48,200) is flagged $6,150 over what is left on PO-118.
1–2 daysExceptions only - 04
Report to owners, the bank and the surety Preview
Rebuild the same numbers in three formats every month. Bonding conversations wait on the WIP.
Analytics dashboards and scheduled reports from the live budget and billing today, including a WIP view and backlog (preview). Cash reports are planned.
1–2 daysReview & send - 05
Close the month Planned
Wait on PMs, accruals and reconciliations. Close runs into the middle of next month.
Planned: most of the work happens during the month. Close becomes a review of what changed, not a rebuild.

Straight answers.
Does it replace Sage, QuickBooks or Vista?
Company Accounting is available for evaluation alongside project Financials. Historical AR reconciliation and certified WIP posting and close are not yet available; assess your requirements before replacing an existing system.
How is percent complete calculated for the WIP?
Cost-to-cost is the common method and the one we are designing around first: cost to date divided by estimated total cost. Other methods are something we will scope with founding finance teams.
Do agents post entries on their own?
No. Agents are planned. When they ship, they draft and flag and people approve, with every approval kept in the audit trail.
Will my surety accept the WIP?
Certified WIP posting and close are not yet available. Confirm your surety's format and reporting requirements with your finance team.
Is it live today?
Project Financials and company Accounting are available for evaluation. Certified WIP posting and close and historical AR reconciliation are not yet available.
