Change orders that update everything they touch.

A change starts in the field, gets priced, gets approved, and then has to land in the budget, the subcontract and the next pay app. On one record that last part is not a task. Approve it once and the budget and the commitment already have it.
How it gets done now
Spreadsheets and disconnected tools, each holding part of the same number.
- 01
The field flags the change in a daily log or an email. The PM rebuilds it as a PCO in a spreadsheet.
- 02
Once the owner signs, someone updates the budget, someone else issues the sub change, and billing adds an SOV line.
- 03
Three people key the same number into three systems, at three different times.
- 04
Unbilled approved changes and unapproved work in place hide in the gaps between them.
One entry. Everything downstream already knows.

Straight answers.
What is the difference between a change event, a PCO and a CO?
A change event is anything that might change cost or time. A potential change order (PCO) is that event priced and submitted. A change order is the executed agreement that changes the contract sum or time. We track all three on one record so nothing is re-entered as it moves.
Can it track work done before the CO is signed?
Change events hold the exposure before anything is signed, so pending changes sit next to approved ones instead of being discovered at month-end.
How are markups applied?
You set your contract's markup rules (OH&P on self-performed work, markup on subs, then insurance and bond). The free change order calculator shows the same math.
Can I use it today?
