Draft — pending legal review

Legal

Terms of use

Plain English first. This is a working draft that has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and it may change before launch. Last updated: October 11, 2026

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the os.construction website (the “site”), operated by [Company legal name] (“we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you use the site on behalf of a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

These terms cover the website only. Use of the os.construction product, once available, will be governed by a separate customer agreement.

Pre-launch nature

os.construction is in development and not yet generally available. Anything on the site that describes the product, including features, screens, workflows, timelines and pricing concepts, describes what we are building and may change, be delayed or never ship. Nothing on the site is an offer to sell or a commitment to deliver a particular feature.

Waitlist & founding program

  • Joining the waitlist or applying to the Founding Contractor Program is free and creates no obligation for you to buy anything, and no obligation for us to admit you or provide access by any date.
  • We choose founding contractors at our discretion and invite people in stages.
  • Founding benefits such as early access and founder pricing will be set out in writing in a separate agreement before you commit. If anything on this site conflicts with that agreement, the agreement wins.
  • Please give accurate information. You can leave the waitlist or withdraw an application at any time.

Using the site

You may use the site for lawful purposes. Please don’t:

  • submit false information, other people’s details without permission, or spam through our forms;
  • try to break, overload, scrape at scale or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems;
  • use the AI assistant to generate unlawful, harmful or abusive content, or try to make it ignore its instructions;
  • copy or reuse the site’s design, code or content except as these terms allow.

We may limit or block access if we believe these terms are being broken.

AI answers

The “Ask the OS” assistant generates answers automatically using a third-party AI model. AI answers may be imperfect, incomplete or wrong, and are not professional advice, including legal, accounting, tax, engineering or safety advice. Check anything important with a qualified professional before relying on it. Don’t enter personal or confidential information into the assistant.

Content & sample data

The site uses sample projects, companies, figures and documents (for example a hospital project, subcontractors, change orders and pay apps) to illustrate how the product is meant to work. They are fictional. Educational content such as glossary entries, guides and calculators is general information, may not reflect the rules in your jurisdiction or contract, and is not professional advice.

Your feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, including through the founding program, you allow us to use them to improve os.construction without paying you or owing you anything. We won’t publicly identify you or your company as the source without your permission. [Confidentiality terms for founding sessions, if any, go in the founding agreement.]

Intellectual property

The site, including its text, graphics, code, the os.construction name and the three-slab logo, belongs to [Company legal name] or its licensors. You may view and share pages for personal or internal business use. Press and partners may use the logo as described on our brand page. All other rights are reserved. Other product names mentioned (for example Procore, Sage, QuickBooks or Vista) are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility or comparison; no endorsement is implied.

The site may link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, [Company legal name] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site, the waitlist or AI answers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed [liability cap, e.g. US$100]. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you. [Counsel to confirm wording and cap.]

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law / jurisdiction], and disputes will be handled in the courts of [venue], unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product develops. We’ll change the “last updated” date above, and the new terms apply from then. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the updated terms.
